His real name is Scott Shapiro, but we just call him "Shappy". (Pretty clever, huh?)
He's been ridin' the KMLE since 2001 and can be heard every weekday morning with Dave Pratt.
Shappy spends half of his life at the movies, partly because his Harkins T-shirt gets him free popcorn. It's tough to name a movie in the past ten years that he hasn't seen, and the worse they are, the more he likes them (Battlefield Earth is his all-time favorite).
Shappy is originally from Chicago, which makes him a huge Cubs, Bears, and Bulls fan. He moved out to the Valley to attend ASU (Go Sun Devils!), and graduated with a degree in broadcast journalism. He's a big fan of food, so he's constantly traveling around the Valley trying out new restaurants. He's also a bit of a beer connoisseur, so don't be surprised if you find him embarrassing himself at the local watering hole.
