Jo Dee Messina made our morning.  She’s performing tonight at the Mesa Arts Center (7:30 showtime) and she surprised us by dropping by to be on air with us!  While she was here, she made a few calls to her “people” and finally got the O.K. to play her brand new single that won’t be out until January.  It’s called “That’s God” and it’s very powerful.  Unfortunately, we can’t put it on the blog, because…it’s not out till January, but if you were listening this morning, you heard it played for the very first time on the radio ever…right here on the KMLE.  Meanwhile, here’s JoDee talking about how the song came about:

Today on the show we had a celebrity guest on “Take This Job and Love It”…Dan Davis, formerly of 3-TV’s Good Morning Arizona.  He was laid off in March and with 35 years in the broadcasting biz…why on Earth is he still out of a job?  He had some funny stories to tell about his quest and admits he’s enjoying his time off.

And Willie the Wizard again entertained us with a little ditty left on the Tim n Willie funfone and gave us a great post Halloween recycling tip!

Who is the sexiest star of the World Series?  According to those voting, the Phillies have the edge on sex appeal.  Here are the top 4 vote getters:

#1   CHASE UTLEY, 2nd baseman for the Phillies gets the nod as the sexiest player in the World Series with 31% of the vote.

#2  DEREK JETER , Yankees shortstop is a close 2nd with 30% of the vote.

#3 COLE HAMMELS, Phillies Pitcher has 20% of the vote as the sexiest player in the series.

and #4 is A-Rod…Alex Rodriguez, Yankees 3rd baseman with 19% of the vote.

Willy managed to write a song for the alligator that escaped after an elementary school show and tell .  “My Gator Ran Away”  is hilarious…see if you recognize the tune!

You may have heard that A naked picture of Brad Paisley has made it’s way into the media……uh, a naked baby picture.  Not to be outdone, here’s naked pictures of Tim and Willy: 

 Yep, the big draw at the AZ state fair this year is deep fried and/or chocolate covered scorpions.  Kristi Walsh with the fair says they’ve served up about 13,000 of them so far.  Check out Willy eating a chocolate dipped one.

Today, we checked in with our pal Tommy C., who used to work here at the KMLE, but these days is on the air in Riverside, California.  The reason we talked with Tommy is because he and his on air co-hort recently did an interview with Brad Paisley and is sure sounds suspiciously like Brad …well, uh…let one during the interview.  See what you think!!!

In the news this morning we talked about Kurt Warner and the AZ Cardinals troubles this weekend and about the alligator on the lam in Florida after an elementary school show and tell.

Wally was on with us this morning to bring us up to date on the weekend’s NASCAR race.

Tomorrow, Willy will eat a chocolate covered scorpion from the state fair…according to Tim!

And today at 4 on Channel 3 it’s “Inside Edition” with Deborah Norville and she talked with us today about wome of the fascinating things they’ll be covering this week.

Happy day before Halloween!!  It just happens to be Willie the WIzard’s Birthday.  So we got him on the phone!
